AVX Technology

AVX Technology was founded in 2005 by the inventor Danish Steen Christensen. It was developed in order to create a state of the art Intelligent Infotainment System (IIS). Based on a number of independent technological developments that were observed through other projects, AVX formulated the concept of an automotive grade In-Vehicle PC that would allow the driver and its passengers to access the internet, enjoy the endless variety of entertainment and increase the efficiency of a driver, who is on the road for business.

AVX is an electronics development company that partnered up with a leading, Danish engineering company to design and manufacture this high-end Intelligent Infotainment System. The combination of the companies enables a quick response to the ever changing demands of the market and to meet the automotive requirements when it comes to reliability and robustness. In order to ensure that everybody will enjoy the extensive functionalities of the IIS, AVX collaborated with the leading edge of software and Humand Machine Face (HMI) development; the engineers who developed the i-Drive for BMW.

It is the aim of AVX Technology to offer easy solutions to the customer by setting new standards for integration, functionality, connectivity, services and product installation.

Besides the aftermarket, the OEM market also represents another significant opportunity for AVX Technologiy. Major car manufacturers are working on connectivity in their vehicles; giving their customers the level of connectivity and entertainment that they expect from nowadays products.

The product addresses a large and immediate market as it can be easily retrofitted into more than 80% of the 650 million cars existing today in less than 1 hour by a normal workshop. This fact combined with an attractive price point enables the product to be marketed through a number of different retail channels.
